The new version of the directory of Baha'i communities in the United States has just been released, built on the Community Directory install profile on Drupal.org. Install profiles bundle together Drupal core with contributed modules and external libraries, enabling new sites to provide some functionality out of the box while still allowing the customization for which Drupal is famous.
The directory of Baha'i Communities in the United States at find.bahai.us provides simple pages for each local Baha'i Community around the country. It is intended as a portal for people to contact local Baha'i communities in their area.
The Community Directory was built as a Drupal install profile to allow other national communities and organizations to benefit from the work undertaken in the United States. Like all projects on Drupal.org, it is open-source software and may be used and modified by any individual or organization, and to facilitate its use outside of the Baha'i community, all Baha'i-specific terminology and functionality has been organized in its own module that may simply be turned off for other sites.
